You simply remove an existing switch cover plate and put the Parrot in its place. The light switch knob fits through a hole in the unit and whenever the light switch is turned off or on it will play your prerecorded message. You can set the unit to lock in your message or to change it with a simple touch of a button. Messages can be up to 20 seconds long. Great for every room in the house. In the kitchen you could record a message to yourself like: "Don't be tempted to open the refrigerator, remember you're on a diet".
